First 30 days – Acquire working knowledge of our company, facilities and industry regulations.

>First 30 days – Assist with implementing and integrating HACCP plan.

First 30 days – Assist manager in comprehensive lot tracking, tracing and recovery.

First 60 days – Review and update SOPS and GMPS for entire facility and plant personnel.

First 90 days – Perform on-going quality and regulatory education.

First 4 months – Measure and monitor key quality indicators.

First 6 months – 100% specifications for raw materials, finished goods and packaging materials on file.

First 12 months – Assist Quality Management with creating a model for an on-site, in-house QA laboratory.


Sampling and testing WIP and finished goods

Act as the company’s first line of defense in Food Safety

Support and FSSC 22000, EU and USDA Certifications

Recall preparedness and implementation, if/when necessary

International export approvals and international health certificates

Create relationship with our client’s quality and regulatory personnel

Collaborative and constructive relationships with FSIS, APHIS, GFSI, FDA



Must have a bachelors’ degree or higher, preferably food science, microbiology, or related.

Up to 10% overnight travel may be required.

Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Minimum of five years’ Quality/Regulatory experience required.

Must feel “at home” in a refrigerated, multi-cultural, meat processing environment.

Must be able to be on your feet all day and repeatedly lift at least 40 pounds.

Food and/or meat industry experience a plus.
Must possess advanced computer communications, organizational and public speaking skills.
